FURLOW Knives

These Bowie style knives were made by my father James W. Furlow. He started in the early 60's putting handles on blade kits by Randall, Hibben and Draper. Back then you could order just a blade or a blade and handle materials. In the late 60's he began grinding his own blades with his own designs. But he chose a career as a geologist so knifemaking was a hobby. He sold or traded a few of his creations but his work was never well known. Some knives have FURLOW stamped on the blade and some do not, but I should be able to identify any of his. Some blades are highly polished and some have a satin finish. Some have a nice leather sheath which he also made. If you have one or know of one, please email me at: warren@furlow.org
